Chinese Navy warns US spy plane P8-A Poseidon 8 times to leave South China Sea

#SouthChinaSea #P8Poseidon #FieryCrossReef US Spy plane P8-A Poseidon was flying at 15,000-feet over the artificial islands created by China in the South China Sea and it was warned off 8 times by the Chinese Navy to leave the area. The islands have been created in the disputed South China Sea. The US plane was one of the most advanced surveillance aircraft and was, flying at 15,000 feet which was its lowest altitude.
This has been reported in zeenews.com dated 22 May 2015.
When the American pilots responded by saying that the plane was flying through international airspace, it did not have any effect with the Chinese and they insisted that the plane leave the spot.
Anyway, some footage was taken by the P8-A Poseidon and it was aired by CNN. The images revealed a number of construction and dredging activity on the new islands that the plane flew over. There were also Chinese navy ships nearby.
As far as military facilities on Fiery Cross Reef is concerned there is a 3,000-metre (10,000-foot) runway and this could become operational by the end of the year.
Obviously, these send out ominous signals because it is through this South China Sea that nearly $5 trillion in ship-borne trade passes every year and the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei all have overlapping claims on this sea.
