It seems in the past year, 545 tons have been bought in Britain – this is up by nearly 50 per cent on the previous 12 months. And the amount that consumers had spent on red cabbage soared accordingly by 26.4 per cent to £590,000. These figures have been given by the trade magazine The Grocer.
The sale of red cabbage are booming as more and more numbers of shoppers get wise to its health benefits.
